A Frankenstyle hybrid of a number of other recipes I've seen, modified to be diet-friendly.
Fruit bran muffins

| 1 cup | bran flakes |
| 1 cup | All BranTM cereal |
| 1 1/2 cups | Simply SmartTM nonfat milk |
| 1/2 cup | flour |
| 2 tsp | baking powder |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 1 tsp | cinnamon |
| 1/2 tsp | nutmeg |
| 1/4 cup | SplendaTM |
| 1/4 cup | grated carrot |
| 2 oz | chopped figs (about 4 figs) |
| 1/2 cup | unsweetened applesauce |
| 1/2 cup | Egg BeatersTM |
| 2 tbsp | strawberry Polaner All-FruitTM |
| Step 1: | Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Put cereals in one bowl and pour milk over them. Let that sit while you do the rest. |

| Step 2: | Mix dry ingredients in a larger bowl. Then mix in chunky ingredients. Then mix in wet and sticky ingredients. Then mix in cereals and milk. |
| Step 3: | Line muffin tin with muffin cups. Spoon into muffin cups. Bake for 25 minutes. |
Makes one dozen muffins. They're a bit more than two ounces apiece, and each has about 85 calories, 0.5g of fat and 4.5g of fiber
